Get on the board
Hold the board on both sides, lift one knee out of the water, and pull the board toward you, allow you to place your knee on the mid-point of the board
Adjust your core
Adjust your core and shift your weight so your body is directly above the paddleboard; Adjust your position so your board lies as flat as possible
Paddle on knee position
Taking a few strokes in the kneeling position (they should be hip-width apart, and you should feel relatively stable), so you can get a feel for the board
Stand up paddling
Rise to a standing position, adjusting your feet as necessary. once you stablize yourself on the board, you can start paddling slowly. Do 4-5 strokes on one side before switching
