Canadian Pacific Railroad Hiram L. Piper Switchman's Lantern-Clear Cast Globe!

This is an excellent Canadian Pacific Railroad Hiram L. Piper switchman's lantern. Outstanding condition for its age! Manufacturer's date of 3/1954 is present on the bottom of the lantern, as is the Adlake Kero/Canadian patent information. Lots of good clean original tin/metal. This lantern led a very easy life! It has a correct Adlake fount and burner. "CPR" is cast into the top rim of ther lantern. The globe is a very nice cast Corning globe with the Corning "CNX" logo and "MADE IN USA" cast into it. "C.P.R." is cast prominently on the globe as well. The globe has no cracks; only some flea bites on the rims where it meets the lantern body. Excellent wooden handle on the bail that is original and not cracked. Lid opens and closes properly. Definitely a piece you will be proud to add to a collection!
