The Badge of the Life Guards Izmaylovsky Regiment is a reward that was approved on March 15, 1910. The division was founded on September 22, 1730. The award is made as a golden cross, covered with blue paint. On the cross there is an overhead monogram made of gold by Empress Anna Ioannovna, over which there is a golden imperial crown. Between themselves, the crown and the cross are connected by a red ribbon. In the central part of the insignia there is a golden monogram of Nicholas II who took patronage over the regiment. The date of the foundation of the regiment "1730" is indicated between the lower rays of the cross.
The sign of the "Life Guards Izmailovsky Regiment" was intended for the soldiers of the ancient Russian unit, which was founded in Moscow. The regiment received its name in honor of the name of the village of the Romanov family in the Moscow region - Izmaylovo, and then was transferred to the service in St. Petersburg. Regimental feast was celebrated on the day of the Holy Trinity. The regiment belongs to the first Guards Infantry Division. According to the date of foundation, the unit was the third infantry regiment and was founded thanks to Empress Anna Ioannovna. Finally, the formation of the regiment was completed on September 17, 1730 in Moscow.
