New York New Haven & Hartford RR Adams & Westlake Switchman Lantern-1883-97 Pats

Description

This is a New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad Adams & Westlake switchman's lantern. This is a very rare early edition, with patent dates of 1883, 1889, 1891, and 1897. The clear extended base cast globe is cast with "NYNH&HRR." It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Lantern rim is cast with "N.Y.N.H & H.R.R." Has the correct original twist off fount that is easily removed, and the correct brass burner, which does not have a knob. Very difficult to find early lantern and extended base cast globe. We pack each of our lanterns in separate boxes for shipping so no damage occurs, and we remove the globe and wrap it separately in bubble wrap so it does not rattle around in the lantern cage and break.
