    The Russian Empire, 1890's. Medal "In memory of the reign of Emperor Alexander III" - state award, a commemorative medal of the Russian Empire. Was established on February 26, 1896, by decree of the Emperor of the Russian Empire, Nicholas II in memory of the 51st anniversary of the birth of Emperor Alexander III, with the purpose of rewarding officials, who were on active civil service at the time of his reign.
    Made of silver.
    On the front side of the medal there is a right-facing and shoulder profile image of Alexander III.
    On the right there is an arcuate inscription along the edge - "ALEXANDER III EMP", on the left - a laurel branch.
    On the reverse side of the medal, with the great imperial crown there are the years of the reign of Alexander III listed in two lines: "1881, 1894". Under the dates there is a cross. The medal have been worn on the breast.
