Howdy buyer! Or should I say, Comrade!
Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) was a Russian revolutionary and Soviet politician and philosopher. Arguably one of the most important figures in history, Lenin’s legacy and ideas spread far and wide, starting with the world’s first Eurasian Socialist superstate, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics/Soviet Union (1922-1991). Many of Lenin’s ideas are still enshrined and found in many countries to this day (notably China, Vietnam, Cuba, Nepal, Angola, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Laos and North Korea).
With the collapse of the Soviet Union turning 30 this year, these busts are only getting harder to find and more expensive. Why pay hundreds of dollars for one from Europe or Asia and risk long waiting periods, risk of damage or outright loss upon transit?
This beautiful bust is in near-mint condition, only having two minor, near unnoticeable chips on his left and right sides (pictured). Stands approximately 5-6 inches tall, weighs a pound or two. I purchased it from a vendor up north not too long ago. Made in Russia!
