Description
I have for sale this red caution light that was attached to a railroad crossing arm back in the old days. Includes original movable shields which are designed to slide to the desired position directing the light towards oncoming traffic. It is rare to see these shields with the lights as they were often discarded to allow the lights to be seen from all directions. The original two conductor cable is usable but does show a few small weather cracks. The original weatherproof cable connector is present. Red lens is free of any chips or cracks which is kind of surprising given all the sharp ridges that it has. The main arm is aluminum and is undamaged, straight and has the clamp plate to secure it to the crossing arm. As shown, the light has been bench tested and is in working order. It runs on 12 volt DC power. The light is dusty and looks to have not been cleaned since removed from service. It is not greasy just dusty with some rust stains. The two long screws holding the lens to the fixture are rusty. These are inside the lens. The blinders are bent on their flat portion but could easily be straightened if removed. The round portion of the blinders that conform to the curvature of the lens are fine. The bulb that is included is not original to the light. Overall this is a nice complete light but will need some cleaning and some new screws.I have three of these light but this listing is for one only. I have described one but the other two are similar in condition.
I will most likely disconnect the lamp from the arm for safety during shipping.
Shipping is to the U.S. All purchases are much appreciated and thanks for looking.
